The working group of Natura Raetica has jointly developed the map of Natura Raetica to present the protected areas and the visitor centres and also to acquire an overview of the area.

Little is known about the forest dormouse in the Alpine region.  Where does it occur, what are its habitat requirements and what are the population densities? Thanks to the The forest dormouse in the Terra Raetica region project various research methods such as nest boxes, photo traps, tracking tunnels and genetic analyses are used across borders to find out. At the same time as the expert work, public awareness is being raised and the Citizen Science approach is being used. School classes are involved in environmental education programmes.

"Literary Journey through Terra Raetica" is a project of the Natura Raetica working group, whereby 8 books from the region of the partners are collected and made available to the libraries with a special book presentation shelf.  After the collection of books (in German language), on a special trolley, stopped off at the libraries in Mals/Malles, Latsch/Laces, Taufers im Münstertal/Tubre in Val Monastero, Prato allo Stelvio/Prad am Stilfserjoch, Glurns/Glorenza and Martell/Martello, the books are now in the library in Schlanders/Silandro and are available to borrow.

At each of the Visitor Centre’s wooden sign posts have been installed giving directions to the adjacent nature reserves of Natura Raetica partners.

Another project is the Natura Raetica Academy, which has been exchanging ideas and knowledge and which, has also arranged further training of schools and tourism organisations in respect of the protected areas.

The project aims to bring both teachers and pupils closer to the nature experience facilities of the Terra Raetica region. In addition to a training series for teachers, the Education and Natura Raetica project provides also for organised school excursions. The training courses are advertised via the educational training institutes of the regions (PHT, Vinschgau Training Association and Swiss National Park).
