The final leg of the Marble Circuit Trail is sometimes also referred to as the “Royal Stage”, bringing you over the impressive Madritschjoch pass at an elevation above 3,123 m. The starting point is Sulden/Solda, from here the trail leads past the Schaubachhütte mountain hut (closed). Continue to the Madritschhütte mountain hut and down to the Zufallhütte hut. This final stretch from Sulden/Solda into the Martelltal valley requires a high degree of fitness and surefootedness. In return, one is rewarded with breath-taking views of the Ortler Alps and glaciers straddling the Zufallspitze and Cevedale mountains. The descent to Martell/Martello provides the true highlight of this final stage, from which the boundless splendour of this region can be truly appreciated. The sixth and final stage of the Marble Circular Trail impresses with imposing peaks and glaciers, as well as the unique flora and fauna of the Ortler Alps.
