• 1 medium cabbage (MEG)
  • cooking oil for frying
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • caraway seeds
  • 8 smoked farmers’ sausages (Niederhof farm)
  • 800 g new potatoes (MEG)

Preparation:
- Cut the cabbage into quarters and remove the stalk.
- Chop into small pieces.
- Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the sugar and let it caramelize a bit.
- Now add the cabbage and briefly stir-fry.
- Season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds.
- Then allow to steam over a low heat under a lid, for about ½ hour.
- Stir the mix from time to time, while ensuring that the cabbage doesn’t burn.
- If necessary, reduce the heat.
- Meanwhile, peel and cut the potatoes into pieces and boil them in salted water until soft.
- Place the sausages into a pot of boiling water and cook for about 20 min.
- Serve with the cooked cabbage and potatoes.
